Behavioral Skills
Team building activities usually comprises of certain ground rules which the team discusses before getting started with the activities. These ground rules are something which people know in general but may not be implementing in their everyday lives such as respecting other member's view, giving equal chance for everyone to talk, active listening, not intimidating others, 'I am right' or 'Do as I say' attitude, judging others, etc. These ground rules are what is called the acceptable and non-acceptable behaviors when working in a team. When members of the team work on team building activities that comprises of behavioral ground rules, it helps them to learn and adopt the same in real life-work situations. This is an effective way of learning behaviors without intimidating anyone personally. |
